Summary:
CENTAVO project aims to develop a set of tools to monitor the condition of railway locomotive bogies, implementing a condition-based maintenance plan. The main goal is to contribute to the availability, quality of service, maintenance costs and return on investment.
CENTAVO will replace, as far as possible, the condition-based or preventive maintenance tasks of the bogie to predictive maintenance. This goal will be achieved by developing intelligent maintenance tools:
-Support to locating defective components, maintenance programming and integration in daily scheduling of maintenance tasks, complying with stocks and inventory control, and designing maintenance crew according to their skills;
- Validating an open-based architecture capable to communicate asset management data to the operator, apart from the locomotive bogie, locating the occurrences and defects in freight wagons, track condition, etc.;
- Development of a digital twin for the bogie system, based on dynamic simulations of the vehicle and post-processing, considering the local requirement of the system.
