RESEARCH
My research is on the analysis and optimization of machine/structural elements. It comprises: 1) theory for modelling and optimization of periodic microstructures for micro- and macro-responses (stiffness, stress and buckling resistance, vibration and acoustic); 2) getting MDOF transmissibility of dynamic forces from transmissibility of displacements; 3) development of topology optimization for steady state vibration above the fundamental frequency. I have over 20 years of teaching experience and research practice.
