Studying and learning Structural and Computational Mechanics
ACMEC
Currently, ACMEC comprises 4 Full Professors, 4 Associate Professors, 5 Assistant Professors, 2 Invited Professors, 1 Research Associate and 1 Secretariat person. The faculty members of ACMEC are actively engaged in education, research and outreach programs in a wide range of topics covered by the fields of structural mechanics and computational mechanics, both from a fundamental perspective, and from a technological/engineering standpoint. Currently, ACMEC is leaded and coordinated by Professor Jorge Ambrósio.
ACMEC Education
The ACMEC faculty members teach and coordinate several courses in the degrees offered by IST.
ACMEC Laboratories
ACMEC coordinates three research and teaching laboratories: Lisbon Biomechanics Laboratory (LBL), Tissue Biomechanics Laboratory (LBT) and Experimental Mechanics Laboratory (LME).
